هیچ وضوحی بصری در اکثر نقاشی هایش پیدا نیست هر نقاشی او سفری میباشد به اعماق هنر ادیب آیین همواره در آثارش فلسفه بافت های حقیقت را دارد و سعی میکند رهیافت های جدیدی را در سبک هنری اش تلفیق کند و بخش سوژه هایش کاملا اتفاقی است نه کل اثر اش این که چگونه نقاشی می کند، مهمتر از آن است که چه چیز نقاشی می کند. ادیب آیین در سدن به دنیا آمده و یکی از نقاشان برجسته و معروف در هنر معاصر افغانستان است. آثار او که در معرض نمایش گذاشته می شود بالاترین جذب مخاطب بر کاوش بصری را به خود اختصاص می دهد.کمتر هنرمندی می توان یافت که مثل ادیب آیین بتدریج سبک هنری اش را تغییر داده باشد و در عین حال مصمم و وفادار به ژانر نقاشی اش باشد. در حالی که دیگران دست از نقاشی می کشند و ابزارهای فناوری را جایگزین آن می کنند، ادیب آیین همچنان کار بر پرده نقاشی را ادامه می دهد. البته هیچ چیز در هنر بدیهی نیست و ادیب آیین نیز خود این را می داند. کسی مثل او و با مهارت خاص به مساله حقیقت نپرداخته است.
آثارش همواره نقاشی هایی درباره نقاشی، تفسیرهایی از کار با قلم مو، کاردک،کششی و کنشی از اساس و پایه هنر او است. موضوعات او عمل خود نقاشی، الهامات مربوط به آن، آرزوی رسیدن به حقیقت و بازنمایی های واقعی است. همچنین رنگ و شیوه های مختلف استفاده از آن، نقطه اعماق کانونی آثار وی میباشد.
بنا به عقیده خودش، نقاشی های او فاقد درک برای عموم بر وضوح هستند. هر اثر او همچون پوششی است که بر روی چیزی کشیده .
نقاشی اش براساس شکل خاصی از دنیاست که توسط چشم دوربین دیده می شود. و هر شخص همچنان از دید خود تفسیر میکند او خودش این سبک را نشان گم شدن واقعیت با نقاشی نکردن می داند و از همین رو نقاشی هایش همچون در نقاشی هایی که او با کامل ترین فن تولید می کند او محیط مرئی را کمتر جلوه می دهد و مخاطب را به دنبال خود می کشد و با تاکید بر این که اثر یک کپی نیست و یک تولید هنرمندانه است، او را به تحریک و تفکر وامی دارد.
شیوه های بیان او در آثارش انتقال داده شده اند. حتی نقاشی های تجردی و ذهنی او نه تنها نمی خواهد بیان گسیخته ای را تولید کند بلکه نشانگر کنایه ای از احساسات است. ادیب آیین ابتدا در ذهنش قبل از نقاشی ترکیب و ایده ایدر بخشی از کارش ندارد، او بخشی از هر اثرش را همان طوری که صحبت می کند، تولید می کند فضای آرام آثارش نباید مخاطب و تماشاگر را از این واقعیت دور کند که او یکی از هنرمندان بزرگ معاصر افغانستان است. موقعیت او روزبه روز او را به یکی از بی نظیرترین هنرمندان بزرگ جهان تبدیل خواهد شد.
ابژه ای که ناتوان از دانش مشخص و واضح از دنیای بیرونی یا دنیای درون هنرمند است با این توصیف، پرسشهای ادیب آیین حاوی دو مدعای سنتی است که مدت زیادی است به چالش کشیده نشده اند: اول آن که، نقاشی های وی چیزها را آن طور که هست، ترسیم می کنند و دیگر آن که آثار هنری بینش روان و درون اشخاص را به خودشان می شناساند. ادیب آیین همواره به این دو اصل پایبند و وفادار است او حتی نشان می دهد که هنر “واقعگرایی” فقط قسمتی از واقعیت را نشان می دهد و حتی ممکن است واقعیت را تحریف کند.
فریدالله ادیب آیین همچنین تاکید می کند که نقاشی اکسپرسیونیسم تجردی بیشتر حاصل دوراندیشی و پدیده های عینی همچون رنگ و زمینه تصویری است تا تخلیه هرگونه انرژی روانی ادیب آیین میگوید که بعد از حاکم شدن افیون در افغانستان، یکی از آثارش به خاطر موضوع در سبک، مورد استقبال بسیاری از منتقدان نقاشی قرار گرفت.
او هیچ وقت برای نقاشی خاصی، تصمیم مشخصی نگرفت صحنه های نقاشی او میان تجرد و مجاز در نوسان است.
ادیب آیین از منظر محتوای نقاشی نیز با هر نوع ایدئولوژی مخالف است نقاشی های او از گروه های تاریخ نقاشی معاصر مربوط است کاری که کمتر از نقاشان به این حوزه می پردازند.
او در دیگر مجموعه های نقاشی های خود از سال ۲۰۱۹ به بعد، مقام افیون را به تصویر کشید. او می خواهد در این نوع نقاشی به معنی گرایی سیاسی اشاره کند؛ اما آنها شکننده به نظر می رسند. اثرمقام افیون او نیز بی نظیر است.
